Nowadays, there is a increasing number for people to join in the activities of volunteering. It’s well-known that volunteering job is making contribution to the society with nothing in return. It’s like the Leifeng spirit. However, knowing this, there are still many people would like to devote themseves in this trend. For instance, the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games has so many volunteers. They made lots of contribution to the success of opening the Olympics. Moreover, we can often see that there many students go to gerocomium to visit the old to bring warm to the lonely people. Even there are some people’s career is volunteer. They are ready to help others. Although the volunteers are much more common, we still need to thanks them to admire them devoting themseves to the society.
Tom's Summer Holiday'sPlans
The summer holidays is coming.Tom wants to do voluntary work.He thinks who can I help?So he gets a lot of people who need help.First, he finds Granny Wang.He goes Granny Wang's home.He sees her room is a little dirty.But he knows Granny Wang is old,so she can't do some cleaning very well.So Tom clean the room for Granny Wang.Second he finds his neighbor .There is something wrong with his bike .So he fixs up old bikes for his neighbor.Third,he goes to the park and sees the park is dirty.So he cleans up the park.The park is more beautiful than before.Forth, he wants to help his brother with his English. Fifth,he goes to the Nursing home ,he sees some old people are bad.So he tells them many interesting stories .He thinks they will cheer up!

Last Saturday I went to be a volunteer in the Children's Hospital. I worked in the hall of the hospital in the morning. I gave direction to the patients, told them where to go for each department. In the afternoon, I went to the Inpatient department. I sent many toys to the kids, sang and danced with them. I also told stories to them to give them encouragement. I know for those kids they were very upset and very lonely at hospital. Other than their parents, the doctors and nurses in the hospital, they'd like to see more people around them and talk to them. If you have time, please join me to be the volunteer at the hospital. Let's send your care and love to the people who need it.

i joined a volunteer activity when i was young. i really enjoyed it. for example, i did many good things for old people, such as cleaning up the yards, washing the vegetables and so on. they are all things that i can do them well. so i have realized showing your warm heart to the old is very important. of course, donating your kindness is helpful a lot.
in my opinion, making them happy is one of the best ways to help them. so if i have this chance, i can clean up their rooms, cheer them up and sing songs or tell stories for them. as we all know, on the one hand, we can help the old people to live better. on the other hand, helping others is helping ourselves.
