My Dream School
In my opinion, school is not only a place to study but a good place to make friends. ‘What kind of school is my dream school?’ This is a question I always think. One day I fell asleep while I was thinking this.
I was at a gate of ‘dream school’. Because of the curiosity, I walked into the school. I could see the school was divided into three parts. A woman came over to me and said: ‘I am the headmaster of this school. Let me show you around our school.’ ‘You will see there are three parts in our school. On the right is the place that the teachers rest and work. On the left is the place for the students to study. If we go straight to the middle part, we can go to the playground.’ The headmaster took me to the right side. When I went into the school, firstly I could see four different kinds of blocks of buildings. ‘These four buildings all have their features. They are decorated with the view of four seasons and the natural view of some places. The students here can choose the building they liked to study.’
In the ‘spring’, I could see there were a few parks around the building. It grew a lot of colorful flowers and tall trees. Sometimes there were some birds flying over my head. Even there were some man-made clouds floating above my head too. Then when we went to the ‘summer’, a big waterfall attracted me. Opposite to it, on the first and second floor, I saw a large swimming pool and entertainments on water. At present, a teacher was teaching a group of students how to swim. ‘We have the best instructors from all over the country to teach the students which don’t know how to swim.’ In the ‘autumn’, I think the most special place is there were many maple leaves spread on the ground. And there were also some maple trees beside the road. When I walked along the road, there was always a tasty smell around us. ‘Why there is a tasty smell here?’ I asked the headmaster. ‘It is the time that the fruit trees were ripe now. At suitable time, we will let the children to pick them up.’ At the end of the road, I can see a mountain opposite to the school. ‘You can only see this mountain in here. It’s a special point of our school.’ When I arrived the ‘winter’, it was snowing with the help of machine. And there was a skating rink on the first floor. ‘As the same to the swimming pool, here also have a lot of instructors to teach the children which is interested in skating.’ Then I suddenly saw a pond of water; it didn’t freeze and even felt a little warm.
After enjoying the view, we walked into a classroom. To my surprise, the teacher’s desk didn’t stand in front of the students’ desk. It was standing in the middle of the classroom, and the student’s desk arranged like a circle around the teacher’s desk. And there was a computer on each one’s desk. And the teacher used the computer to show her PowerPoint. I think if I was a student here, I maybe will like going to school everyday. ‘The computer is the helper of the teacher. The students can take the computer back home and do the homework on it. After they finished it, they can use e-mail to send their homework to their head teacher. The next class of them is PE. Let’s go with them to the playground?’ ‘Good idea!’
There were many different stadiums for the students and teachers to do exercise. ‘There are dozens of stadiums, such as table tennis, volleyball, basketball, tennis, badminton, etc. Each stadiums has at least six courts so two stadiums can hold almost all the students together. We want all the students can find a sport which they liked and have a healthy body.’ In the stadium, there was a big piece of glass comported each court. And you can even choose the music you want to listen to. I think it was pretty good; it is not only a place to exercise, but also a wonderful place to relax.
Then I went to the last part-----the place for teachers. I thought it was as wonderful as the place for students. ‘We try to offer a good place to work and rest. Each teacher has their own rooms. We went into one of the teachers’ room. It was very tidy and big. There was a computer, a bed, a printer, a telephone, a toilet, a wardrobe and a balcony. ‘The teacher can decorate their own room how they liked. But only one, their rooms must be tidy.’
Finally we went back to the gate of the school. ‘This is the end of your visit. I hope you can like our school.’ ‘I thought this school is perfect because you provide good environments to both the students and teachers. All of them were pleased to be in here. Anyway, I like……’
