在广大的宇宙里，有一个晶莹透亮、美丽可爱的星球叫“地球”。在地球上，有肥沃的土地，生活着人类和大自然中的动植物，他们就像一个大家庭一样密切。
昨天，地球就像母亲一样哺育着我们，那儿有清清的河流在欢快地流淌，各式各样的漂亮的鱼儿、虾蟹在自由自在地游来游去，多么悠闲自在；河岸上五彩缤纷的花儿翩翩起舞，青青的草地连着森林为花儿奏起了优美的旋律！各种动物在这美好的大自然中，欢呼着，跳跃着。所有生灵都沉侵于幸福之中。
可是，到了今天， 随着工农业的迅猛发展，人口剧增，人类开始无休止地向地球索取资源，同时又不断地把废气、污水和固体废物随意排放，因此导致了环境污染，资源枯竭，生态环境遭破坏……看到的不再是处处明艳，而是满目的污染。这样下去地球何去何从？人类又何去何从呢？
保护地球是我们迫不及待要解决的问题，保护绿色家园是我们神圣的职责。首先不再破坏绿色把每一块绿地都当自己的家园对待；还要植树造林，美化环境，维护生态平衡；同时还要节约资源，利用一切可以利用的废品，为我们造福。
